Our Story
A gentle space to come back to yourself — without numbers, scores, or judgment.
What starts as a personal practice becomes a continuum of care — supporting individuals, the people who care for them, and the places they work.
Somyn (SOH-min) means the body, as experienced by you. It's a mindful wellness journal built around one simple idea: that reconnecting with your body starts with listening, not measuring.
Unlike traditional wellness apps that count calories, assign scores, or rank your performance, Somyn invites you to simply notice — your hunger, your energy, your emotions, your movement, your breath. No numbers. No streaks that shame you. No optimization culture. Just a private, judgment-free space to explore what's actually happening inside you.
Somyn includes food and fluid journaling, movement tracking, body check-ins, emotional reflections, the Relational Mirror (a space to process what happens between you and the people in your life), Tarot Analysis as a self-inquiry tool, guided meditations, and SomaGuide — a built-in AI companion that helps you slow down and explore your inner world with curiosity rather than criticism.
That's the real advantage of body intelligence: understanding yourself well enough to recognize your patterns before they become your problems.
Not by counting — by noticing what your body, emotions, and relationships are telling you.
Somyn also supports therapists, dietitians, and coaches who want to help their clients show up to sessions with more self-awareness. Providers can view client data (with permission), assign homework, leave session notes, and be listed in the Somyn Provider Directory so clients can find them.
Beyond the individual, Somyn for Work brings that same daily awareness into the workplace — giving organizations anonymized insight into how their people are doing, while keeping every employee's personal data completely private. It's the same practice, rippling outward.
Anyone tired of restrictive apps and ready to approach wellness with self-compassion instead of control.
Clients who want to arrive at sessions with more clarity about their body and emotional patterns.
People who need a gentle, non-diet tool that supports healing without triggering restrictive thinking.
Practitioners who want a values-aligned tracking tool to support their clients between sessions.
Beyond the individual
The same small moments of daily awareness ripple outward — into the therapy room, the coaching relationship, and the workplace. Always with privacy at the center, and always with the person in control of their own story.
Track Less. Feel More.
One platform. Two powerful ways to support employee wellbeing.
Somyn connects workplace awareness with personal growth—creating a continuum of care that supports people where they are, every day.

Wellness practitioner & coach · trauma-informed care
Built by Aurora Dawn Ventures, LLC
Somyn was founded by Ashley Reynolds, a wellness practitioner and coach with a deep commitment to somatic awareness, trauma-informed care, and the belief that every body deserves to be met with gentleness.
The platform was built out of a frustration with wellness tools that prioritize metrics over meaning — apps that leave people feeling worse about themselves rather than more connected to who they are. Somyn exists as an alternative: a space grounded in intuitive eating principles, non-diet philosophy, and somatic body awareness.
We believe small moments count. We believe your worth is not determined by data. And we believe that coming home to your body — slowly, gently, without judgment — is one of the most radical acts of self-care there is.
The Landscape
Some tools begin with food. Others begin with journaling, recovery, mood, or therapy support. Somyn brings body signals, emotions, everyday behaviors, and reflection into one connected experience.
What happens when you can see how all of your signals relate to one another?
Somyn overlaps with mindful eating and body-response tools, recovery and between-session support tools, and AI journaling and reflection tools, connecting them into one connected experience.
Tools that help people notice relationships between eating, habits, feelings, and how the body responds.

Where body signals, emotions, everyday behaviors, and reflection come together.
Somyn is designed around the relationships between signals, rather than asking you to understand yourself through only one lens.
Tools designed around recovery-oriented self-monitoring and support outside of appointments.
AI-guided reflection designed to help people explore thoughts, emotions, themes, and patterns over time.

Food, hunger, emotions, physical sensations, movement, hydration, habits, and reflection don't happen independently. Somyn gives you one place to notice them together without reducing your wellbeing to a score.
The goal isn't to collect more data about yourself. It's to make the information your body is already giving you easier to notice, reflect on, and understand.
Track less. Feel more.
Somyn can also be used in collaboration with a therapist, coach, dietitian, or other wellness professional, with the user remaining in control of what they choose to share.
